I remember the first time I walked into a room full of tech executives and was asked if I was “with the marketing team.”
I smiled. I was.
But I was also the co-founder, strategist, policy writer, and decision-maker behind the aerial drone services they were discussing.
Being a woman in technology, aviation, or leadership doesn’t mean we have to prove we belong—we already do. But it does mean we often carry a quiet dual burden: to lead boldly while dismantling assumptions gently, piece by piece.
So this post isn’t about statistics. It’s about you.
It’s for the women navigating aviation, aerial drone consulting and engineering roles. The ones building startups, running ops, training flight teams, or guiding boards of directors with steady hands and clear vision.
It’s for the ones who walk into the field in work boots and walk into meetings in heels—both with confidence.
You belong here.
And not just to be seen—you’re here to shape the future.
Drone service isn’t just about flight. It’s about solutions. Strategy. Innovation.
It’s about knowing your worth in a space that wasn’t built for you—and building it anyway.
The future doesn’t need to look like the past.
It can look like you.
It can look like a mother leading a tech company from her kitchen table.
It can look like a veteran’s spouse writing UAV policy for multi-billion-dollar transit systems.
It can look like a mentor teaching young women how to launch careers in aviation, drones, and environmental science.
And it does.
You don’t have to lead like anyone else.
You get to lead like you.
When I started BEAD Global, I didn’t have a roadmap. What I had was a heart for service, a love for innovation, and a calling I couldn’t ignore.
There were moments of doubt (still are). There were times I wondered if I needed to speak louder, dress differently, or show up more like “them” to be taken seriously. But what I learned—what I am learning—is that I don’t have to be anything but who I am to make a difference.
And neither do you.
Keep flying.
Keep asking the hard questions.
Keep being the woman in the room who changes the conversation just by being in it.
The world is shifting.
Aerial drone consulting is shifting.
Drone service is becoming more human, more diverse, more visionary.
And if we stay rooted in purpose, clear on our values, and committed to lifting others as we rise—then we’re not just building careers.
We’re building legacy.
So here’s to you,
The women who fly with vision—
and make room for others to do the same.
